Rooted in the biblical passage of Acts 14:27, where the "door of faith" was opened to the Gentiles, Door of Faith Church emerged in 1940 in Honolulu, Hawaii, through the vision of its founder, Dr. Mildred Brostek. Under her leadership, Rev. Barbara Tengan served faithfully as second in command, laying a strong foundation for the ministry. The church's reach expanded to the Philippines, where Bishop Leopoldo Mazaredo became the first General Superintendent, with Dr. Rogelio dela Rosa serving as the Assistant General Superintendent. As the ministry evolved, it became known as Door of Faith Christian Church Int'l (DFCCI), with Bishop Larry Cerda assuming the role of National Overseer, continuing the legacy of faith and outreach.
